Venue Love: Frisco Heritage Center

It’s time for another favorite venue!  The Frisco Heritage Center is comprised of four buildings, the original Lebanon Church, the restored Crozier/Sickles House, the Smith-Muse House, and a replica of the Frisco Railway Depot.   The Lebanon Baptist Church built in 1904 still holds the original pews and has stained glass windows, a tin ceiling, elegant chandeliers and hardwood floors to reflect the timeless simplicity of master craftsmanship.  The church provides a range of decorating possibilities for couples, no matter what type of wedding they are planning, with seating for up to 120 guests.  They can even arrange to ring the original church bells as the ceremony concludes, which is a fun touch. We just adore this church and highly recommend it for your ceremony if you have the right number of guests!

The Crozier/Sickles House is located next door to the church. It is completely furnished, has a beautiful bridal suite, and can be used for the bride, her family and attendants prior to the wedding. It holds approximately 30 people, so it can also be used for a smaller event related to the wedding, like the rehearsal dinner or a shower.

Both the Smith-Muse House, and the Depot provide locations for wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners.  The Smith-Muse House can seat up to 45 people, while the Depot can seat up to 120. Couples can bring in their own vendors, choose from a list of preferred vendors, or do it all themselves to make for a truly unique event.  This means that you can really get a personalized look and feel for your event, because there are no restrictions on what type of food and alcohol you can serve.  One of Joni and Brenda’s favorite weddings included a full-on Cajun feast at the reception!  Additionally, the Depot can be a really great blank slate for design and decor.  You can really customize the space to fit your vision, from dramatic and elegant uplighting to a more casual family style set up.  Both tables and chairs are provided, which can really help save money.

Brenda Tighe and Joni McConnell work as the event coordinators and are on site for every event.  Here’s what some of their past brides have had to say about the Frisco Heritage Center:

“We loved having our wedding at the Frisco Heritage Center.  Joni was our coordinator and she was awesome!  She was very flexible when it came to us wanting to go up there to look around and get ideas for planning.  The price was amazing.  We loved the old-time feeling of the train depot for the reception.  The Chapel is gorgeous by itself, the only decorating we did was adding some pew bows.  I would definitely recommend this for a smaller wedding, around 100 people.”  – Jennifer

“We LOVED the venue.  It’s the first place we looked and fell in love.  The coordinator that we had was VERY helpful in soooo many ways!”           – Sara

“This was the perfect location for my daughter’s wedding!!!  From the engagement photos to the family shower, to the rehearsal, to the wedding and AMAZING reception…it was fabulous!!  The church was so beautiful and intimate, and the depot was rocking!!  The house we used for the bridal party to get ready was also a perfect place for people to get ready, visit and prepare for the most important day of her life.  Beautiful venue, fun personnel, and they also provided perfect weather for us!” – Lauri
