Wow.  2017 has been an amazing year for Each & Every Detail and I have to say, I’m super proud for what we’ve accomplished.  I’m also thankful beyond belief to our clients, for placing their trust in us, for becoming our friends and family and for letting us share in such a special time, from planning their weddings to executing it on wedding day.  It’s just been awesome.  Here are some highlights from this year that I want to share:

January 2017 I stepped into the role of President of the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners.  It’s such an honor to work with this organization and it is truly a passion of mine, so being President is something I take very seriously.  In January, Brooke became our Senior Lead Planner.  The first for Each & Every Detail, and she truly deserves the title!  Brooke has been on my team longer than anyone and I appreciate how hard she has worked.  She has become an amazing planner and has made huge contributions to our company, so she needed the title that fit!

We also promoted two of our Assistant Planners to Lead Planners!  Megan and Sarah have been such great team members and worked hard to achieve becoming a lead.  Their clients have been thrilled with their dedication and we can’t wait to see them continue to grow as they take on more and more weddings!

Weddings, Weddings and more Weddings

We were happy to execute 51 weddings this year, which means we worked with 102 amazing people, along with their family and friends.  We’ve worked hard to streamline our processes and make planning super easy for our clients, as well as enjoyable, so we can make sure each one has a great experience.  We’re thrilled that this has allowed us to help more couples and we hope to work with even more in 2018!

We had our first surprise wedding this year!  Rich and Chad wanted to plan a special event that would allow their family and friends to come together, but unbeknownst to them, it was for a wedding!  We had a blast putting together the details and logistics to make this happen.  Congrats again guys!

New Venues

Working with new venues is such a fun part of the job, as we love the challenge it brings and the new details we can add to our weddings.  We worked with the owners of The Grand Ivory, Ashley and Parker, on executing their wedding, which was the first wedding ever at their beautiful new venue and it was featured on Style Me Pretty!  We also executed weddings at two new Springs Events locations, Tuscany Hill and The Lodge, which we fell in love with as well.  We helped D’Vine Grace with their first open house, which was fun to get to bring in vendors and couples alike to see the new space.  We know there are many more venues opening in 2018 and we can’t wait to see where we will be next!

Fun Events

We had a great time attending industry events this year and some highlights for us were

  • The 10th Annual Vendi Awards – this event is the awards show of the industry in Dallas-Fort Worth, with awards going to the favorite vendors in different categories as voted on by members of the American Association of Certified Wedding Planners.  With this being the largest Vendis ever, including fireworks, we had a blast!
  • Be Sage Conference – I try to attend this industry conference each year.  It’s hosted and designed by the owner of Sage Wedding Pros, Michelle Loretta, and is always thought-provoking and inspirational on where I should take my business next.  Plus, if you were following our instagram, you would have seen all the awesome swag she gave to attendees.  Such fun!
  • Celebrate – all of our lead planners are members of AACWP and as such, we get to attend the fabulous holiday party each year.  Brooke volunteers on this committee each year and she did a fantastic job again making sure this event was as fun as it is memorable!

New Friends

Of course, the best part of our job is all the new friends we make each year.  Our clients are awesome and we truly love getting to work with them.  Here’s a few photos of the many weddings we did this year to show you some of our new friends from 2017.
