Megan & Mathieu came to us with their garden wedding at the stunning Dallas venue, Marie Gabrielle. While they did have quite a bit of their outdoor wedding already planned out, Dallas had different plans that day. We had to move nature indoors when it decided to pour down rain the day of the wedding. The earth tone colors with pops of light pink and lush greenery were spread throughout the décor. The challenge was being able to achieve the feeling of being outside in a garden!
The Ceremony
We decided that a partial room flip was the best way to achieve the look they wanted, but not cut into our reception time. Marie Gabrielle has sliding windowed doors that can be opened to look out on part of the garden with beautiful string lights to make it feel as if you were under the stars. We chose to open those doors and build the floral ceremony arch from Garden Gate Floral Design in the doorway. While we weren’t actually outside, those doors being open allowed for the natural ambiance during ceremony. Plus the Garden Gate was a huge factor in making this now indoor wedding, a garden.
The Reception
And they’re married! WOO! Once the recessional was complete we, the lovely staff of Marie Gabrielle and Each & Every Detail team, quickly began moving guest chairs to make that area our dance floor. Since we did a partial flip the tables were also basically set in their places to the left of the pictures above. After we have the chairs out of the space, Brian Prescott with Leforce Entertainment, who already had his DJ table set, was able to move into the space, plug in, and go!
We wanted to incorporate the same natural feeling of the ceremony into the reception. Garden Gate Floral brought in tree bark vases, ran lovely garland down our restoration hardware table, and adding a natural feel to our low lush arrangements with some loose floral pieces. The vases added a fun detail to the table without detracting from the natural elements. With soft lighting and the view into the garden, it definitely felt like you were attending a garden wedding!
Overall, this was just a stunning wedding for a wonderful couple. Rain does not ruin your day, it just gives us an opportunity to be more creative with a different space and bring nature indoors! Plus look at all these amazing photos the couple were able to take!
It was an absolute pleasure to help Megan and Mathieu plan their Dallas Indoor Garden Wedding!
