I had SO much fun planning this wedding! Not only were Amy & Russell a blast to work with, but we are kindred spirits when it comes to our nerd-interests. We worked together to come up with a beautiful style sprinkled with easter eggs to reveal their nerd-nature. We added Star Wars details (and a few other things) to a beautiful blush, maroon, and gold wedding. Held at the Lodge at The Springs Denton - Texas, a beautiful venue all on its own, we had the perfect place for a super fun party with a gorgeous backdrop. The Ceremony
The ceremony was outside at The Springs' outdoor site, surrounded by trees, a small river, and outdoor beauty. The decor was simple - lush burgundy & blush floral & greenery on the arch, and gold & glass lanterns along the aisle. The decor went along with the lodge atmosphere flawlessly.
The Reception
The decor at the reception was elegant and timeless, but also had so many fun elements to it that were true to the couple's interests. The tables had ample candlelight - pillar candles, gold tealights, and geometric terrariums. Tables also included a mix of tall floral arrangements as well as low & lush floral and succulents all around. The head table included glass gold chargers to add a special element.
The guest book was a custom detailed Millennium Falcon made from wood, where guests could sign wood hearts and add them in. There were also gold Millennium Falcons on the paper floral backdrop in the photo booth. The table numbers & cocktail napkins included quotes that Amy & Russell love. Instead of a traditional "Mr. & Mrs." or "Groom" & "Bride" chair signs, the couple chose to use the quote, "I love you. I know." to once again pay homage to Star Wars. The cake to tie in also included quotes and a custom cake topper.
